Continuous PER Test

This feature helps to analyze the variation in the PER test results over the distance between Transceiver and Receiver. This feature is applicable only for the kits that are paired.

This can be viewed by selecting Packet Error Rate Test tab under Performance Tests panel, and selecting Continuously Record from the Combo box. Clicking the Start button will start recording PER test result parameters by performing PER tests continuously until the Stop button is clicked.

The graph in the Continuous Record represents the variations of PER test result parameters. X-axis in the graph represents the Test number. Y-axis in the graph represents the values of following result parameters.
  1. Average Link Quality Indicator (LQI).

  2. Average Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI).

  3. Packet Error Rate.

Results of each PER test will be saved to a CSV file located at path specified in the text box above Continuous Record graph, if Save results to file check box is checked. This file location can be modified before starting Continuous Record using the Browse button.
Note:

It is recommended to run Continuous PER Tests with the small number of Frame Counts (e.g. 50) to get accurate Range measurements.
