Launch Atmel Studio and Click on menu File → New → Example Project ...

In the New Example Project From ASF or Extensions wizard, select ASF (version v3.31.0.435 or above) from the list of items shown in section 'All Projects'

Type "Performance Analyzer" in the search box to get all the Performance Analyzer example projects listed

Select the desired example project, specify a project name, and select a location for the project

Press OK. A solution containing the selected example project gets created in Atmel Studio.
Viewing Example Project Documentation

Select ASF → ASF Explorer menu item as shown below to view the ASF Explorer

The ASF Explorer window lists the modules that are currently selected and used in the project

Click API documentation to launch the web browser with documentation for the module selected in ASF Explorer
