The application can generate a software event. Software events on channel n are issued by writing a ‘1’ to the STROBE[n] bit in the EVSYS.STROBEx register. A software event appears as a pulse on the event system channel, inverting the current event system value for one clock cycle.
Event users see software events as no different from those produced by event generating peripherals. When the STROBE[n] bit in the EVSYS.STROBEx register is written to ‘1’, an event will be generated on the respective channel, and received and processed by the event user.
