Creating an MPLAB X Project

  1. On the Atmel START website (http://start.atmel.com/), create a new project (Example or Board).
  2. Once the project is created, go to the EXPORT PROJECT page and check the "MPLAB X IDE" box.

Importing Atmel Start Project in MPLAB X

  1. Select File > Import > START MPLAB project as shown below:
  2. Browse the ‘.atzip’ file, as shown below:
  3. Follow the procedures described in the wizard.
  4. An MPLAB X project will get created.
