Before a touch debug session can be started the target micrcontroller on the MCU board must be programmed. Complete example projects for the QT600 MCU boards can be downloaded from www.atmel.com/QT600. Example projects for both the GCC and the IAR compiler are available. The project folders include a precompiled hex file that can be programmed into the MCU board. Hence there is no need for the user to compile the projects to start using the QT600.
See the Programming section for how to use the QT600 interface board to program the flash on the target MCU.
After the target MCU has been programmed, follow the sequence below:
Remove USB cable from the QT600 interface board
Remove the 6/10-wire flat cable between the JTAG/ISP connectors
Connect a 10-wire cable between the Touch Data Connector on the selected MCU board and the Touch Data connector on the QT600 Interface board
Connect the Touch Panel to the MCU board using the orange flex cable
Start AVR QTouch Studio
Connect the USB cable to the QT600 interface board
Press the Start Debug Button in AVR QTouch Studio
AVR QTouch Studio will automaticly connect to the QT600 when the USB plug is inserted. The Touch Data streaming will start when the "Start Debug" button is pressed.
