The power header can be used to connect external power from an Xplained Pro extension to an Xplained Pro MCU board, or to use the Xplained Pro MCU boards 5V power source. Care must be taken not to exceed the total current limitation of the Xplained Pro MCU board regulator when using the VCC_MCU_BOARD pin.
