The ADC conversion result can be supplied in two formats, left justified or right justified. The FM bit controls the output format as shown in Figure 1.

Important: Writes to the ADRES register pair are always right justified regardless of the selected
format mode. Therefore, a data read after writing to ADRES when FM =
0
will be shifted left four places.
